Yoga

I am a certified Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teacher, RYS 200h according to Yoga Alliance USA.

I began practicing yoga in 2009, and it has brought so much to my life that I decided to share it with others.

This ancient practice originates from India and aims to bring balance between the body, mind, and spirit.

The word “yoga” comes from Sanskrit and means union. It signifies the union of body, mind, and soul. Yoga is therefore a discipline that allows the connection of body and mind to achieve a state of harmony. This involves physical postures (asanas), as well as breathing techniques (pranayamas), meditation, chanting of mantras, and other practices. It is a comprehensive discipline that goes beyond the purely physical aspect and can also be considered a philosophy of life.

According to this philosophy, the human being is composed of these three parts – body, mind, and soul – which must be unified and balanced to attain a state of fulfillment and serenity. Yoga thus constitutes a complete teaching aiming at the development of the individual as a whole.

There are many different schools and lineages. I primarily teach Hatha yoga, which is accessible to all levels and easily adaptable to each person’s abilities.

A typical yoga session generally includes several components:

  • Breathing exercises (pranayama) to focus and center oneself.
  • Postures (asanas) to stretch, strengthen, and align the body consciously. They are practiced in a fluid and coordinated manner with the breath.
  • Relaxation and/or meditation to deeply relax and calm the mind.
  • Sometimes, chanting of mantras.

Some benefits of yoga include:

  • Improves flexibility, strength, and balance.
  • Strengthens the deep muscles that support the spine.
  • Improves posture and relieves back pain.
  • Improves blood and lymphatic circulation.
  • Reduces stress and anxiety.
  • Improves concentration and memory.
  • Better quality of sleep.
  • Sense of well-being and serenity.

Yoga thus brings benefits both physically and mentally. Practiced regularly, it helps to improve health, vitality, and inner balance.

The offerings I provide:

  • Private sessions, or small group sessions, upon request. Feel free to contact me via email or Instagram for more information.
  • I also organize themed workshops: on a particular chakra, letting go, grounding, emotions, etc. (check Instagram for dates).
  • And if you want to delve deeper into practice, the yoga retreats I offer are ideal for that.
